Postnatal Pelvic Floor Recovery
Postnatal Pelvic Floor Recovery is our focused program for life after birth, when your body feels unfamiliar and you are ready to feel strong and steady again. We bring together gentle core rebuilding, pelvic floor synergy, and bladder support so you can laugh, lift, and move without worrying about leaks or pressure.
During your visits, we look closely at how pregnancy and delivery have affected your core, pelvic floor, and daily function. If you have diastasis recti, we teach you safe, effective exercises to close the gap, support your back, and protect your abdomen as you return to lifting your baby, working, and exercising. If you have a C‑section or perineal scar, we use hands‑on and movement-based scar work to soften tight areas, ease tenderness, and improve how the tissue glides so you feel less pulling and more freedom.
Bladder symptoms are addressed with practical, shame‑free strategies. We assess your pelvic floor strength, timing, and coordination, then guide you through specific activation and relaxation work, breathing techniques, and simple habit changes that support better control. Many people start to notice fewer "just in case" bathroom trips and less leaking in only a few weeks.
Every plan is created by our pelvic health nurse practitioner and pelvic floor specialist, with special care for those recovering from birth trauma or complicated deliveries. You set the goals-whether that is returning to running, being intimate without fear, or simply getting through the day without pain or leaks-and we build a step‑by‑step path to get you there.
You do not have to wait until you are "done having babies" to feel better. If you are months or even years postpartum, this program can still help your core and pelvic floor recover and work together again.
